Your Teacher

Susan grew up in the Berkshires, Western Massachusetts and has a background in dance and group fitness. She encountered Pilates during mat sessions in the late 1990’s. After relocation to the greater Phoenix area in the early 2000’s, she was introduced to the entire system known as the Pilates Method and trained comprehensively in the Romana Kryzanowska lineage by Kendra Jordan Rosenthal completing that course and subsequently testing with the Pilates Method Alliance for a certifying designation in 2007.

Back and neck pain and several joint surgeries have allowed Susan a better understanding of the vital importance of movement as a healing measure. She is dedicated to sharing her knowledge with family, friends and students.

Susan has an Associate of Arts degree in Theatre and a Bachelor’s degree in Management. She worked in the business world prior to moving full time into the world of wellness practices. Susan and her husband relocated to SouthWest Florida in August, 2016.

Embarking on the study of Pilates meant understanding the vital importance of becoming a lifelong student of the body and movement modalities. Some of Susan’s trainings are listed here.
